Ipad 9th gen reboots at random times every few days. Anyone else?

I don’t use my ipad every single day, and sometimes I’ll go pick it up and upon unlocking it it’ll say I need to type the password upon booting up which tells me it turned itself off and back on at some point; I’ve also caught it right as it was booting back on at least 2-3 times so I know 100% that it is indeed rebooting. It also never rebooted while I was actually using, at least not yet, so far it’s only happened after leaving it aside for a few days.

I tried looking up the issue and found absolutely nothing at all, so I’m left wondering if I’m the only one having this issue? The tablet otherwise works flawlessly, I’m on the last version of ios18 (I forget which one that is exactly), all the buttons and the cameras work, the screen works, software feels smooth, I never dropped it, I did play genshin on it before they upped the specs requirements and that would get the ipad a bit toasty but nothing else I do on it causes it to overheat, there’s no immediate obvious damage to it. Genuinely apart from the rebooting it’s a perfectly functional device.

I just want to know if anyone out there is having the same thing happen to them and if they know why it could possibly be happening? I know I should take it to apple but the only authorised resell and repairs shop is quite far so I’d like to get an idea of what the issue is and if there’s an easy fix / if it’s even a big deal at all before I take it to the shop…

Sometimes images linger on screen when exiting a game/app. Normal or something to worry about?

First one is from the game Sky Children of the Light and the other two are from the eshop (one as it is exiting it and the second once it loaded the home menu). Is it normal for the screen to do that? Some games like animal crossing or gris don’t cause this that I have noticed while others do. The lingering images fade away on their own overtime (turning the screen off and on doesn’t speed that up at all).

I’ve been playing with the idea of saving up to get a steamdeck to play some computer games, mostly cosy games and indie horrors plus maybe some triple a games if they run fine such as resident evil. I’ve been looking at the refurb page on their site and if they still restock them it seems like a pretty good deal!

The thing is I am not good with tech, and especially when it comes to computers I am absolutely terrible; I’ve never even had a personal computer! However I really like the idea of the steamdeck specifically because it seems like a much more cost effective and flexible device then something like a switch where games are much more expensive (plus I already have a switch lite and while I love animal crossing and pokemon I still am a little disappointed with it).

Is the learning curve to get the most out of the device very steep in your opinion? Like does it require a lot of hard to do tinkering? Plus if any troubleshooting is ever needed would you say it would be decently easy for someone with no tech experience to figure it out on their own through googling and/or asking for advice on reddit? On a completely different note is it comfortable to hold for someone with smaller than average hands? I’m thinking specifically about the lcd model if that’s relevant. I’m not 100% set on getting one but this is my main concern with the idea. Thank you in advance to anyone who takes the time to reply!
