Hi, I'm an undergrad studying molecular biology and need advice on choosing a final year research project....I need to know the extent to which what you do for undergrad research affects the chances of getting selected for a desired PhD programme; for example, do we need to have practised the skills we'll need for our PhD? Or is there room for learning as you go?

What areas of study do you think have a lot of potential, given the rapid advancements in tech?

Also, I've heard some people saying that dry lab research is less valued than wet lab? Is that true:(
