Trying to save childhood items from slight water damage and roach feces

I left a few boxes in my sister’s garage three plastic totes and two cardboard boxes. I knew what to expect with the cardboard and packaged items that would be easy to clean and salvage. However, my toddler nephew took it upon himself to rip off the lid of one of my plastic totes. So bad that it warped and did not close back properly or my sister didn’t care enough to close it. I found this out today. It’s been well over two years now. And I was hoping to be able to catch my sister to grab my high school diploma from said tote, but that’s no longer a possibility. Unbeknownst to me I walked in on my belonging unearthed. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be as I only encountered one healthy sized roach. There was however a glitter bomb of roach feces throughout. I am in shock more than anything, being the time constraints and how difficult she made it for me to come over and recover my things. A lot of it still looks to be in good shape but tbh, if it can’t be cleaned properly I’m going to just through it away a lot of my books and magazine, not including photos. How would you all suggest I go about this process I don’t want to bring critters to my storage unit and I want to go about this the best way possible and be able to leave with what I can.
