Need advice from the Reddit family for buying my first car.

Budget is around ₹15 lakh and I want an automatic because my mom will also drive it. Looking for something reliable, comfortable and easy to maintain.

My usage is a bit different:
- I’m a seafarer in merchant navy so I stay away for around 6 months
- During that time my mom will use the car mostly for city drives, around 500 km/month
- When I come home, usage can go up to 3000-5000 km/month with highway trips too

Now I’m confused between petrol, diesel, hybrid or EV.

Does EV make sense for this type of usage or should I stick with ICE?

Would love genuine suggestions and ownership experiences from you guys. This will be my first car so I want to make a smart long-term decision ❤️
