some things I learned after a few hipobuy hauls

When I first started using Hipobuy I didn’t really think much about it, I just bought stuff from the first links I saw. If I liked it, I’d just order it.

After a few hauls (and yeah, a couple things I probably shouldn’t have bought 😅) I started doing things a bit differently. Nothing serious, just paying a bit more attention before buying.

Figured I’d share it in case it helps someone new.

1 don’t just trust random links

At the start I was basically clicking whatever links I saw in posts without thinking too much.

Now I try to look a bit more into where people are actually getting their stuff from.

what helped me:

  • hipobuy influencers
  • discord groups
  • influencer spreadsheets

the spreadsheets are probably the most useful part tbh. they usually already have tested sellers and filter out a lot of bad ones.

since i started using those, i’ve had way less random bad buys.

2 qc photos

i don’t overthink this part anymore.

i just quickly check:

  • logo placement
  • stitching
  • tags and basic stuff

if something looks off i just ask for another qc or change it before shipping. easier than dealing with problems later.

3 shipping stuff (saved me some money)

at first i used to ship items one by one which was honestly kinda wasteful.

now i just wait until i have a small haul in the warehouse and ship everything together.

small things that help:

  • shoes: removing or flattening the box helps a lot (boxes take up more space than you think)
  • clothes: vacuum packing reduces volume
  • small accessories: i just throw them in if there’s empty space since they barely add weight

from what i’ve seen, shipping gets expensive pretty fast once the parcel gets heavy, so a mid-sized haul (a few kg) feels like the sweet spot.

4 coupons

before paying i just quickly check:

  • hipobuy coupons
  • influencer discount codes

some influencers actually post decent ones, so it’s worth a look.

also staying in the hipobuy discord helps because they sometimes drop coupons or updates there first.

final thought

biggest mistake i made was just rushing everything at the start.

taking a bit more time to compare stuff and check qc properly makes everything way smoother.

that’s pretty much it.
