Am I sensitive or is my boss absolutely crazy?
Today my boss called me into his office for a meeting.
The whole meeting was about how I’m not doing enough and I need to make improvements, when I work hard from 8-5 without taking a single break. I literally go home exhausted everyday.
But anyways, one of the things my boss mentioned in the meeting is that he thinks I hide in the restroom to avoid working. He even said his boss said something about this, which I don’t even believe that’s true.
So my response to my boss about hiding in the bathroom was, “Next time I need to use the bathroom, would you have to follow me inside and watch me? So you can see if I’m hiding or actually using the restroom for its intended purpose?”
He had nothing to say. He said nothing. He couldn’t say a damn thing to that.
He paused for literally 5 seconds, and then laughingly said, “No, you’re good”. Then I walked out.
Can I filed a complaint to HR? This seems crazy. They have no evidence of me just hiding in the bathroom to “avoid working”. This seems like a violation of personal privacy.
What are your thoughts on this? Is this situation something that I can file to HR?
