Predictive Migration risk error on new Seagate 28TB drives?
I have a QNAP TVS-h1288X with an external chassis - TL-D1600S.
I have just purchased 4 Seagate 28TB drives.
Running QuTS Hero 6.0.0.3459
It sees the drives
All smart stats show good
Status shows good
I want to configure the in RAID 5, 3+1, and i a new storage pool
when I walk through the steps on the first page when I select the chassis it show 4/16 available - good so far
When I click next, all 4 drives show an orange error
"This disk has a high risk of failure as detected by Predictive Migration. We recommend replacing this disk as soon as possible"
and none of them are selectable,
These are new drives, direct from seagate.
I have done a secure erase
I have tried a reformat GUID on a mac
same results.
I have 12 drives in the main chassis, and 4 drives in the external chassis, and they all installed (Over time) without a hitch, that I can recall.
Am I missing a step? what can I do to troubleshoot and/or resolve this error?
