I recently bought Warband for myself due to the medieval sale on steam and I've been enjoying it a lot so far! I played this game lots as a kid as well, so being able to actually understand the game properly now opens up a whole new experience for me.

Seeing M&B around, I've of course seen Bannerlord and wanted to try it out. Wanting to check what reddit says since I value user reviews a lot—to my suprise, it seems like there's a lot missing still! Gosh, if I didn't know any better it sounds like this game JUST came out!

Let me take a look at it's release date....6 years ago.

My question is, how big of a difference are the vanilla states of either game? I haven't been the biggest follower of the series and I'm kinda just getting my toes wet again. I've never even touched the DLCs of Warband, not to mention the mods—so I wanna ask, if I were to get into Bannerlord (vanilla), is it worth it? Why does most of the stuff I've seen about it make it seem like such a barren experience?

Thank you in advance for the insight!
