I’m a Kentucky native — same state as Thompson. Moved to Las Vegas 11 years ago for the same reason he did. I never could bow to authority, never could silence my opinions, always had a taste for the wild. Thompson’s writing always made sense to me.
This grew out of genuine admiration. Not a cash grab. Just a Kentucky kid in bat country doing what felt right.
