Hello, I withdrew from my HSA for non-qualified medical expenses. My two questions are this,

1. Can I claim qualified medical expenses after my distribution as long as it is in the same tax year. Basically to offset taxes and penalties. Example: Distribution in February, Colonoscopy in march.

2. Can I return the funds (not by employment contributions) before the tax year ends? Would I be tax and penalty free.
