Hi all!
I bought Replicant and Automata about a year ago now and finally got to playing through Replicant. And wanted to say how enthralled I was by the story.
The entire concept of revenge and protecting those you cherish hit a big chord throughout playing the game, especially Nier's relationship with Emil and Kaine. After finishing the game I do have to say that Emil was my favorite character throughout the story.
Storywise, although there were parts i disagreed with Nier's perspective with, I loved the more you played through the story the more of other perspectives and characters are revealed, especially learning more about Kaine, and it made the playthrough of route E in my opinion one of the best parts of the game.
Combat was pretty simple, but had a blast swapping through weapons in Act II, I just wished there was an easy and quick way to swap spells due to how fun certain spells were but just couldn't use them to save time, ended up using dark lance in most of my builds because of how versatile it was throughout the game.
Overall, I loved playing through the game and i'm excited to see what Automata has in store for me!
