I'm looking at this 99 Sambar (with A/C, no supercharger) being sold in town. I looked it over in person and took it for a test drive and it feels good (I just have to get the hang of left handed shifting). I went in with a checklist of things to inspect. I know it's a 25+ year old farm truck so there's going to be wear and tear and that these are project cars. I just want to get some opinions before I pull the trigger.

Things I noticed:

-There is some rust on the floor but not in the doorjam and it's not eating through

-No roof or windshield corner rust. Bed's beat up but that's to be expected. Hinges and clasps all work fine.

-Some old oil buildup at the bottom of the airbox, was already looking into a valve cover breather

-Need to replace the motor mount

-A/C wasn't particularly cold but It probably just needs a recharge

-Brand new motor oil

-Coolant tank was on low but no signs of leaking and temp was fine

Thank you for your feedback, I really appreciate it

EDIT: WOW I'm dumb. When I opened up the top engine panel I saw that empty space and thought "of course it's empty, that's where the supercharger would go." I didn't realize that's where the A/C compressor should be. I'm in central Texas so A/C is basically mandatory. Sorry everyone, my bad.
