Any one buy a Tractor or Zero turn for <0.5 acre yard?
Trying to figure out which direction to go. I have a 0.4-acre corner lot (Using online tools). Initially, I was leaning towards a push mower but looking at the yard, just feels like a lot of work, so decided to get a riding one but not sure if we should go with the tractor or a Zero turn. The land is flat with a minor slope in one spot but the lawn guy I had last 3 years used a Zero turn with no issue. I do have a cluster of about 3-4 trees in 2 spots in the back yard, but a mower should fit between them. We get a ton of leaves every year so looking for something that can mow as well as bag leaves. I do not have a shed right now but have a 2-car garage so will keep it there for now. I was initially leaning towards a tractor since the Zero turn feels like overkill but having never owned any riding mowers, I am not sure if there are drawbacks to a tractor. Thoughts?
