It’s just frustrating how ignorant the golfing population is about what we do and why, but especially about this particular process.
Now obviously this guy is patting his super on the back which is great and always appreciated. But the comments are all basically implying that any super who has bumpy sandy greens a week after punching must be dogshit and not know what they’re doing.
Then there’s this section of the comments talking about how the OP’s super is a good golfer and that makes all the difference. One guy says “yeah having a golfer as super is so much better than some random idiot who just likes growing grass”
Fuck off. Some of the best supers I know never touch a golf club. I’m a golfer, and I find it helpful to play my own course, and of course I don’t love putting on aerifiied greens either. But being a golfer doesn’t make you a good super. In fact you might be more likely to go needle tines than proper tines because you have a match later that week and want them smooth!
Aahhh rant over.
