Lost 20,000 baht after selling a car through a Facebook middleman

The deal was made through Facebook Marketplace in Thailand.

A middleman handled communication in the sale. The agreement was that the seller would hold 20,000 baht (about 600 USD) temporarily and return it to me after receiving the blue book.

I followed up several times about the money, but the middleman kept saying he could not contact the seller. Later, I asked a friend in Thailand to call the seller directly, and the seller said he had already given the 20,000 baht to the middleman.

After that, I tried contacting the middleman again to clear up the situation, but he left the Marketplace chat and blocked me.

I still have the chat history and details of the transaction. At this point, I believe I may have been scammed.

I am posting to ask what practical steps I should take next in Thailand, and whether this is something that can realistically be reported through Facebook Marketplace or to the local police.
