How do you balance everything?
I was diagnosed with PCOS 5 months ago. I'm 23, a pretty picky eater and not super active. i also have ADHD and am not medicated for it so routine/consistency is not my strong suit.
my OBGYN told me i'm obese and pre-diabetic. I was urged to make some serious life changes and quickly.
In 2024 i got on bc for the first time (xulane patch) to help with mood swings and my irregular periods. my doctors always brushed off my irregular periods and chalked it up to me being skinny. until i got on birth control and went from 135lbs to 197lbs in less than a year. when i talked to my original OB about my concerns with the rapid weight gain she told me it was my fault for not controlling my excessive cravings/food noise and she could prescribe me some ozempic. i left immediately and went to my current OB (she's an angel i love her).
Anyways, I am struggling so much to stay consistent with everything. Inisotol, cortisol supplements, omega 3, b-12, apple cider vinegar, walks, weight lifting, keto diet, spearmint tea, pantothanic acid for acne, creams, serums, yoga, meditation it's so overwhelming.
has anyone noticed how contradictory it all feels? Green tea is great for weight loss but avoid caffeine. go on walks but don't do too much cardio because you'll put your body in "famine/starvation mode". Avoid carbs, red meat, sugar and dairy but don't eat in a calorie deficit because you'll exasperate your symptoms. change your entire routine but don't get stressed because you'll spike
your cortisol levels! I feel like i'm going insane!! and to add insult to injury, i've only lost 10lbs in 5 months🙃 can anyone give me some advice on how to balance it all and feel somewhat normal?
