Hi everyone, I was a pathways intern that ended after a series of changes (initial layoff, reinstatement, then final termination). I’m trying to better understand what hiring paths are generally available after a Pathways role ends.

For those familiar with federal hiring, do former Pathways interns typically apply only to “open to the public” roles, or are there other pathways such as "excepted service" roles?

Appreciate any general insight on how this usually works.
