I frequently fall asleep listening to the pod because it starts 8pm my time. Woke up a few nights ago to hearing “Donkeh” over and over and over. I thought I was in a really bizarre nightmare.

Wondering if anyone uses stuff like sugar water, orange pieces, bits of rice cake or anything else that doesn’t have additives or any sugar free type base to it. I have IBS and my gut hasn’t been able to handle gels in the past, all my hyper specific fuel prepping goes to waste the second I try a gel. Anyone have recommendations? Also what is generally the mile/km you will start adding on carbs? I’m running 10k now for my weekly long run and I’m just now starting to feel like I need them sometime in the run cause I’m totally gassed by 8k

I usually run 7am-9am, my fueling is ON POINT for. They say to never change your fueling schedule before a race. Problem is I just signed up for my first race to be a fun in the city midnight race, half marathon, that starts at 9pm. This is my first long distance race. I have no idea how to train for my fueling for that. Any suggestions?

Typically I have a green tea, 2 rice cakes with honey, and an orange before a run. Usually add a bowl of rice to my dinner the night before a longer run. Works wonderful for me up to a 10k. Haven’t trained to the point of needing mid run fueling yet. My stomach is hyper hyper sensitive which is why I’m concerned and I really don’t want to start training at 8pm every night lol

I was 2 years sober and I accidentally had a 0.5% beer on my birthday 5 months ago. Didn’t think it was a big deal, but I spiraled after that. I am having such a hard time quitting now and it’s ruining everything Ive worked to build up and I feel so disappointed and discouraged. I hardly see the point anymore but I’m trying to. I feel so stupid, so embarrassed. I hate myself completely and totally and I don’t know what to do. I guess start over. I just don’t trust myself to quit again. Anyways, just wanted to vent.
