Hi everyone,
My 6-month old literally has no appetite. Every time we attempt a feed, he only gets 1-3oz down before being done. We have to offer feeds to him 10+ times throughout the day to even get to 22oz and then have been having to do a dream feed in the night by waking him up a little to get him to at least 24oz. We have already been evaluated by a lactation consultant in the home multiple times to evaluate for ties or a bottle aversion which they didn’t find, and his pediatrician with weight checks and no one has a clue why he’d be doing this. It’s been going on for a little over 2 months now and it’s driving us insane!
We had put off introducing solids because we knew intake would drop a few weeks after that and if he already is struggling with intake to begin with, this worried us a little. We just recently started them but he obviously isn’t fully eating the purées and solids and the main source of nutrition is still his bottles.
Also, literally has barely hunger cues or acts like he is hungry at all and is a happy baby otherwise and isn’t mad after feeds or anything.
HAS ANYONE ELSE DEALT WITH THIS OR HAW AN IDEA WHATS GOING ON? 😭
