Hi all!

My fiancee and I are going to Birmingham for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary (3 weeks away) She has wanted to go to the Ozzy Exhibition (me also!) along other music related spots throughout Birmingham so I have planned a weekend centered around this.

What I am looking for is any recommendations for a good spot for an evening meal. I have gone down the usual Google search but I think sometimes it can be a hindrance and misleading and we know reviews can be paid for/inaccurate. So I thought I'd reach out to the fine people of this amazing city to see if you can help with a good spot for food.

Restaurant criteria is:

Within 30 mins walk (absolute max from MailBox)

Not super, super swanky or super expensive, but anything from casual/chilled (but not the typical chain/franchises), to some where that is a maybe something that is slightly more finer/formal than the norm.

Anything a little 'cool', alternative, eclectic is always good. Aside from seafood restaurants, we would be open to anything whether it be local, or intentional cuisine.

If anyone has the inside track on some good bars for a drink that have a cool/nice setting that would be amazing...bonus if it has rock/metal/alternative music playing, but it's not a deal breaker if it doesn't! :)

Thanks in advance!

Matt
