I often see people recommending to use stylesheet as a base for making your own custom components.

From my limited knowledge, surely this would get difficult? While definitely possible to make the components (e.g. basic flex and CSS properties), handling the cross platform nature would be troublesome. Also, having designs and properties consistent across your components would be hard.

I am interested in what you have done, personally, in production.
