Desperately need some reassurance…
I’m 30, a FTM and I’ve just come back from my combined trisomy testing. I was told that results for my age would be 1/810, but with an NT reading of 2.6mm and low blood levels (whatever they test for here!) my adjusted chance up to 1/210.
I know, 1 in 210 are still good odds, but seeing the jump has really made me panic. Nurse said I am “low chance” but “on the higher risk end of low chance” which has fried my brain a little. Whilst scanning, my husband asked if everything was ok which she didn’t respond to. The baby was in unhelpful positions throughout which made it very difficult for her to get the right angles.
I suppose my next step is coughing up the £400 for an NIPT test. Can anyone give me some helpful info to settle my nerves a little? Are these screening results wholly accurate?
Could I technically go back next week and get a different number?
Photo of blood levels and assessment, if anyone could read these markers and put me at some sort of ease I’d greatly appreciate it ❤️
