So i have absolutely devoured book 1 and liked it.

I have some issues like his focus the crafter ability and apparemt neglect of skill master but all that is at least in part explained by Sals upbringing and the short timeframe of the events.

I can cope with his preference for the support class because his abilities (crafting) are really usefull maybe even better than becoming an instant wargod on the frontlines (which seems possible as of the end of book 1).

Whats annoying me most is his apparent cowardice and lack of true ambition/drive. Manx side characters confront him about this.

My question is: Does Sal become more proactive and brave (maybe even choosing to fight when he isnt forced to)?

It doesnt have to happen instantly...but is there a clear roadmap for his character progression to a more prominant role in fights (does not need to be a complete shift away from support)
