I've posted previously about my situation here thanks for the advice I've been given. I'm struggling with what to do and quieting my brain over this issue and hope someone can give me a better understanding of what the heck might be going on.

I spoke to the helpline for the 6th time today about my entire current UC payment being blocked pending a decision on a mandatory reconsideration over an overpayment calculated to Feb this year. In short the phone agent agreed with previous agent and what folks said here which is that this mandatory reconsideration shouldn't block my current payments.

This agent did add that perhaps the reason my payments are blocked now is because it's suspected we hold £16k or more capital. We don't and never have during the life of my claim, not even during the period we were overpaid. I declared just over £6k in "money, savings and investments" for our last period and provided statements that support all my current capital declarations at an appointment last week. Agent had asked a case manager to call me again but just as I finished this post I got another journal response again that didn't address the issue so I don't expect a call and now can't even ask the helpline to request another call until Wednesday.

It's coming up to two months since UC last paid us, my households only other income is my PIP (£768 a month) and rent alone is about £580 a _week_ so we have maybe a couple of weeks left liquid "capital" that could cover our expenses without compromising on essentials. I let council tax bill go overdue this month assuming that the UC would come through now not sure if I should pay it or not. Agent on the phone today suggested I apply for a DHP from my local council but my local authority has very strict and specific rules about what they'll consider DHP for, it seems very unlikely they would approve it for someone who is eligible for housing benefit payments. In all honesty it doesn't feel right to ask for grants of any kind in my circumstances since I'm expecting UC to back pay me in the future.

I made a complaint through the web form on 18 Apr (two weeks ago today), haven't heard anything or been contacted to say they need more time and now I'm worried because I focused the complaint primarily on non response to the upcoming evidence apt at job centre and now the appointment is in the past the action that needs to happen to move my issue forward is different. I'm wondering if I should raise a new complaint?

I appreciate that I am overthinking this I'm trying not to but to do that I really need to know at least loosely what to expect, perhaps someone can lay it out for me? I am neurodivergent and feel very anxious and foolish like I'm smashing myself against a brick wall trying to make something move that can't but I can't do nothing. Logically I know that I can't be evicted without months and months of non payment and legal action but I have lost my home so many times throughout my life that I have this trauma response which is becoming more difficult to mediate as this stretches out and then knock on makes it so much more difficult to manage my complex basic physical health needs.

I had an investigation into my capital last year that was completed last month. The overpayment was calculated wildly inaccurately and I've requested a mandatory reconsideration which I understand will take as long as it takes.

The issue is that since I raised that mandatory reconsideration UC have stopped making payments. There is nothing in my To-Do list, I'm totally up to date and I've contacted someone by journal and by phone multiple times. My "payments" page says to check back on 9 April when my statement is due (there isn't one).

On the phone I'm told that a mandatory reconsideration for dates that are in the past shouldn't prevent current payments being made but when my case manager responds to those calls she won't call me (have requested this several times) and keeps leaving a copy/paste journal message saying "a decision maker will contact you when they've completed the review" that doesn't answer my questions.

Is this normal? What can I do, do I need to ask for an advance? UC is my and my partner's main income it includes housing, LCWRA and Carers element without it we have nothing to live on.
