name change suggestion
I think adding a Name Change feature would be a good addition for players. Players could change their name for a set price, either with in-game currency or another payment method, but limit it to once every month or every 3 months so people can’t constantly swap names.
To help avoid confusion, there could be a small icon next to a player’s name showing they recently changed it. The icon could stay visible anywhere from a week to a month so friends, clan members, and other players can still recognize them.
Like Old School RuneScape, it would also help if a player’s previous name could still be seen for a short time when hovering over them, inspecting them, or viewing them on friends/clan lists. That would make name changes feel less confusing and help prevent impersonation issues.
I think a system like this would give players more freedom to personalize their accounts while still keeping things clear for the community.
