27(f), heard a pop doing overhead press, loss the weight suddenly. Can still lift to side, and front without pain after didn’t try overhead. Can rotate about 15 degree, internal and external without pain. Just really swollen the next day, but not in pain. Got a MRI the next day showing hill sachs but no labrum tear, but the doc said there’s some damage as well. Have me in a brace for six week before the next check up.
Considering it’s the first time, doc said I can choose only PT for now, but would recommend surgery if it happens the second time.
Have anyone experience similar situations and can get back to somewhat decent lifting and working out with PT only?
