The caption says it all. The original owners of these sweet babies went to the nursing home. They are being fostered by a wonderful couple local to my area. I really really want to adopt one of them more so the male since I am afraid of egg binding with the female. The female is more outgoing and the male is shy. Once cared for a few weeks they open up quickly they told me. I was able to have them step up for me using a perch. They are protective of the cage especially around new people. It was so surreal meeting them. The only thing is I recently left my job and I do have savings. But idk how long it’ll be until I find another job so I’m kinda hoarding that because I have 3 dogs. (whom would never be out when my bird is out) I am currently selling one of my engagement rings on Facebook hopefully to gather the extra cash to make my dream a reality.
Any advice on cape parrots male or female? I’ve heard really good things about the species. I’m open to adopting a bird who needs a good home in Indiana. But I can’t stop thinking about these capes every day all day. It’s eating me up.
