Hopefully someone can provide insight or a remedy:
Me and my older brother have always been close. We live a few states away and talk in the phone regularly. He’s been a Christian about 22 yrs now, I am also a Christian as of 5 yrs ago. He’s really dialed in on the whole “the time is near” thing & We can’t just have normal conversations without it being considered “a worldly concern or matter” which technically speaking, anything outside of discussing the word or preaching gospel is a worldly matter however it’s at a point now where his life is doomsday prepping and all he will discuss is the gospel and sometimes I just want to talk about life with him like we always have. So I guess my question is, is “too far gone” really a thing? Or am I in the wrong for I guess just wanting to shoot the occasional breeze and talk about life or work etc? His approach to this matter seems to be growing more militant by the day and he dresses the intensity up as Warning people which yes as believers we are (technically) supposed to do and I love talking scripture and sharing gospel sure, but I think we can have man to man talks about life without it being considered a worldly matter. Thanks for whoever read this and what I should do at this point. I can’t technically rebuke him because of the topic at hand but I can’t deal with too much more of the redundancy.
