Why did the warriors think Eren had the…?

Rewatching the show for the first time and something struck me: it seems illogical for the warriors to believe Eren had the Founding Titan. Two things they thought they knew/should’ve known:

  1. The royal family has the founder. While it wasn’t true, that was the assumption they went onto Paradis with and their whole mission was to retrieve the Founder from the family.

  2. The Attack Titan is on Paradis. After the GTW, the Attack Titan was MIA, but could’ve been assumed to be either on Paradis or was killed and given to random children. After Eren Kruger attacked Marley ships on the dock, it would’ve only been logical to assume that that attack was done by a titan. Because of the level of destruction(flipped boats, destroyed docks), and no trace of survivors, the most likely conclusion is that the Attack Titan caused the attack and is now on Paradis.

With this in mind, seeing Eren transform would let the warriors know that he either has the Attack Titan OR the Founder. Because of the royal family having the Founder, it SHOULD HAVE been more likely to them that he is the Attack. It makes sense in terms of where the Attack Titan is and the fact that it is a child lines up chronologically with the attack on the Paradis docks.

Now, if the warriors had seemed to be 50/50 on what titan he was, this would all line up, but their verbiage in the forest indicated otherwise. Reiner and Bertholdt have a conversation about the **potential** that Eren is not the coordinate, which implies that they believe he most likely is. I know I’m being nitpicky here, but the warriors should have acted as if it were more likely he’s the Attack/don’t know what titan he is. Is there an explanation to this or is the just a minor plot hole?, it has been bugging me.
