AirPods Pro 3 weird charging behaviour
I bought a set of AirPods Pro 3. I did the setup process, then I had about 15% charge remaining. As soon as I put the AirPods in the case, they went up from 15% to 50% in seconds. The remainder of the charge took hours. Tried it a few times without any change. Apple advised me to return them, so I did an I received new ones.
Did the same process, they came with a 20% pre charge, I inserted them in the case and the exact same thing happens. The only difference is that a full charge now “only” takes about 90 minutes.
I’m coming from AirPods Pro 2’s which I handed over to my girlfriend. They don’t show any of these issues (and usually charge up empty to full in less than an hour).
I have the latest version of iOS and the AirPods have updated to the latest firmware version as well.
I tried turning off optimised charging, no difference here.
Does anyone else notice this strange behaviour?
This charging behaviour shows in both battery widgets and on the pop up when you open the case (the levels are the same for both so it’s not just a widget bug).
