Workout tracking apps still feel weirdly distracting during actual training

I keep bouncing between Notes, spreadsheets and workout apps for tracking.

Most apps solve logging,
but somehow still interrupt workout flow.

A lot of them feel too bloated during actual training.
Notes get messy.
PDF programs feel static.
Spreadsheets are useful but awkward on mobile.

The hardest part isn’t programming.

It’s remembering:
“What did I do last session on this movement?”

without breaking focus between sets.

I’ve been experimenting with a simpler logging flow for myself and I’m curious:

What annoys you most about workout tracking apps right now?

Most workout tracking still feels surprisingly clunky during actual training

Does anyone else still bounce between Notes, spreadsheets and workout apps for tracking?

I still haven’t found something that feels completely natural during actual training.

Most workout apps feel too bloated.
Notes get messy after a while.
PDF programs feel static.
Spreadsheets are surprisingly useful but awkward on mobile.

The annoying part isn’t even creating the program.

It’s trying to remember:
“What did I do last session on this movement?”

without constantly interrupting workout flow.

Curious what everyone here uses for tracking and what annoys you most about it.
