My living room has a single light source (ceiling fan / light). The ceiling is pretty high, the center is recessed (maybe 12ft), the perimeter is about 10ft.

How can i improve the lighting in this room? The single light source makes it a little dim, cast unpleasant shadows. I'd like it to be brighter, still warm but the light is more "spread" (not sure how to best describe it)😅

Edit: I'm trying to avoid standing lamps if possible. Hoping for some ideas for ceiling light.
