Capcom every couple of Resident Evil games for some reason

Capcom every couple of Resident Evil games for some reason

I just find it funny how this one guy managed to keep the same voice actor no matter how many times everyone else gets recasted.

  • Sokka regarding Jet (Avatar: The Last Airbender) - Sokka begins to suspect that Jet isn't quite the noble freedom fighter he paints himself as and tries to warn Katara and Aang about it. Katara - who has a crush on Jet - and Aang dismiss his warnings as jealousy.
  • Lana, Chloe, and Clark (Smallville) - (What feels like) Every other episode of the show (in the early seasons) follows this formula: A new hot guy shows up and starts putting the moves on Lana, Chloe, or both. Clark gets jealous and pouty. He sees the new beau doing some freaky Kryptonite meteor rock shit (always on his own) and gets the classic "Don't tell anyone if you know what's good for you!" speech. He tries to warn Lana and/or Chloe, who promptly snap at Clark to but out, because even though the past five new boyfriends tried to rip out their souls (or some nonsense like that), this new guy is definitely completely normal and couldn't possibly have any bad intentions! Clark calls them out on doing this as early as Season Two, but it still keeps happening.

Inspired by a "fun" fact from The Dresden Files: Jim Butcher (the author) hates the first two books, considering them amateurish and disappointed that they basically follow the classic noir detective formula with the occasional magic duel sprinkled in. He's even gone on record that potential readers should flat-out skip them and just start with the third. So, you'd think that means that books one and two are standalone and disconnected from the rest of the series, right? Nope. The main threat of the second book is constantly called back to as measure/comparison of the villain-of-the-case's power level, the Big Bad of the first book turns out to be very important to the lore in later books, and the Big Bad of the third book's motivations only make full sense if you read book one. And of course, there's a whole bunch of characters introduced in books one and two who are reoccurring and important. So, if you actually followed Butcher's advice and started at book three, you'd probably be a bit lost and asking yourself: "What the hell are these people talking about?"

Any other stuff like this?
