My 10 yo kitty has had pink urine for a while now. Her first vet did seem concerned, and she was put on a special diet. They let me know she may need surgery, which I cannot afford. They also gave her a fluid injection.
I needed to find a new vet after moving, and this vet didn't seem too concerned. I mentioned that she sometimes howls after coming out of the litter box. The vet just referenced a list of wet cat food low in minerals.
The special diet has not been a cure and she still has bloody urine, worse so now. I'm scared and not sure what to do. Behavior-wise she acts normal. She plays and is very happy and cuddly. I may be looking in to supplementation options like D-Mannose... I'm desperate to help her, but don't have thousands of dollars to shell out for surgery.
