Serious confusion regarding ET or IT
Hey seniors,
I’m a second-yearite from one of the Phoenix branches, and I’m honestly quite confused about whether I should pursue ET or IT.
As I’m coming to the end of my second year, I’ve realised that I actually enjoy electronics-related subjects quite a bit, and the field genuinely feels interesting to me. My CG at the end of 2-2 is just shy of 7.5, and I don’t really have any projects in either ET or IT yet.
The confusing part is that everyone around me keeps saying that getting into core requires a very high CG, and that I might have better chances in IT roles. But the thing is, I honestly don’t enjoy coding much. On top of that, I’ve now been allotted an IT station for PS-1, which has made me even more unsure.
I feel stuck because I don’t really see myself enjoying IT, but ET also feels slightly out of reach right now. I’d really appreciate any guidance from seniors.
