AM4 to AM5: Is this upgrade worth it?
So I currently have an AM4 setup that I built in 2023, with an RX 6700XT GPU + a Ryzen 5 5600G CPU with 32GB of ram. Of course gaming will be a problem in most modern games because I won't be able to use FSR4 and my components are not powerful enough, but after thinking for a while, I think I'm ready to move to AM5 once and for all. My idea at first was to upgrade the CPU to the 5950X, but AM4 is getting less and less reasonable to keep spending on.
After thinking, my plan is to get an RX 9070XT, with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D to play at 1440p for most games, but also for tasks like music production with FL Studio, video editing with Davinci Resolve (not really professional videos, just making random clips of screen recordings while gaming and stuff), and I'm wondering if that's a good combo for an AM5 build. I wanted to go for a 7900XTX but it's too expensive now and I really don't care about ray tracing and all that stuff, so FSR4 + FG is all I need lol. I know the x3D CPU is better for gaming, but a 5600G already does well enough for the things I mentioned before, so I think a 9800X3D will do even better even though it's mostly for gaming.
