Hello,

I just put in my 2 week notice yesterday in an email to my boss. He was gone when I sent it but he’s back today and he has had some time to respond to it and no response. He is notorious for responding quickly but only to emails he wants to respond too. We have sent many emails on work that he just ignores I’m assuming this is the same situation. I haven’t been at the company long and was hoping they would just release me instead of two weeks.

So to sum this up I am currently working a job that I really hate and it is fully remote. Ive worked there 2 and a half months. I’ve got another job lined up and am waiting for the background check to clear I submitted last week to go to that job. I would like to quit today because tomorrow they have me signed up for meetings and trainings and I don’t want to do them if I’m going to be there for like another week anyway. I haven’t had a meeting with my boss in 2 months and he is fully remote as well. Is it okay to say I resign immediately and take my stuff to the office and drop it off?
