Need Help Choosing a Syntax Topic for My Graduation Research
Hi everyone.
I’m an English major student preparing for my bachelor graduation research, and I’m thinking about choosing a topic related to syntax in English linguistics.
I want a topic that:
- is suitable for an undergraduate level
- has enough academic sources
- is not overly broad or too narrow
- and preferably not extremely overused by previous students
Right now I’m considering topics like:
Syntactic Ambiguity in English
Wh-Movement in English Questions
Deep Structure vs Surface Structure
Negation in English Syntax
Do you think these are good choices?
Which one would be the most practical and academically solid for a graduation project? and if they need to be edited please provide me
I’d also appreciate any other syntax topic suggestions that are interesting but manageable for a bachelor thesis.
