First time watching order

Hi! I just wanted to get your opinion. I introduced a friend to STARKID and this is the order I showed the musicals in:

  1. The guy who didn't like musicals (pretty classic zombie story, funny and easy to enjoy)

  2. Holy Musical B@tman (they are familiar with batman and this musical is very funny and good catchy music that is easy to like even if you're not super into very "musical" sounding songs

  3. Nerdy Prudes Must Die (this is a genre thing. They like slashers and this musical also is very well recorded, which I knew would help to make it feel more like a movie than theater)

  4. Twisted (this was the test. Where they just tolerating the musical aspects or would they actually be able to enjoy a more "musical" production? I trusted Dylan Saunders. It worked, of course)

  5. Starship (they love sci Fi, and I thought the puppets would be one more example of the variety you can have within musicals, and that it doesn't all just follow the same formula or look the same)

  6. Trail to Oregon! (I think this is a solid choice for people who are already familiar with STARKID's humor)

  7. AVPM (they did not particularly like this one, the quality of the recording made it hard for them to engage) (I gave up on showing sequel and senior year, as well as MAMD for now)

  8. VHS (I knew I had to bring them back to good quality recording after AVPM and I knew they already loved Dylan Saunders, this one worked so well because it was also short and they were familiar with a Christmas Story)

  9. Black Friday (they loved this one, and again the genre helped a lot, and they LOVED Linda Monroe)

  10. Firebringer (by this point they already considered themselves STARKID fans, and they enjoyed watching and recognizing the actors from the other musicals)

  11. Spies are forever (I know it's not technically SK, but I knew they would love it and so many of the actors are in it. They ranked this one really really high)

  12. Ani (this one is more simple, but they really liked it)

  13. Cinderella's Castle (this one was new to the both of us, we weren't huge fans unfortunately, but the watch party was fun)
