The balance on this 6309 is not spinning free, it's hitting the arm of the hairspring mount (the vice). Even worse in the dial up pos.

Also, the endshake is too big. I would say the whole balance needs to come down a bit towards the main plate. But how is this possible? There is no adjustment for the upper jewel assembly. What could be wrong?

Jewels (cap jewel and jeton) look good. Also the pivots from the balance.

This is the first 6309 I'm working on, so I have no comparison. Got the movement very dirty and very rough condition. I could buy a new hairspring but have doubts if this will fix the problem.
