Parental leave for absent father?
Please, please, please, help. I’m aware that I’m having a kid with a man who I’m not married to and that alone will open me to a lot of ridicule. Yes that was dumb, I truly thought I was in love. Anyway, subject matter:
The father of my child is active duty submariner and told me about a month ago that he for sure would be present for the birth of our child. He had talked to his chief and was on a stay behind list. This made me super happy because I wanted him to be there. Recently he blocked me and said he doesn’t want anything to do with me or baby. That by itself hurts so much, but as I’m aware he’s still dodging a deployment for this. I can’t get back in contact with him because he’s blocked me. Actual question: will he get in trouble for this? can I prevent it? Is it weird for me to reach out to his chief and ask?
