accounts and device protection
Hello! I wanted to ask for an explanation on my wrong doings and recommendations for my device and account security. Around a month ago I was hacked on my computer, where I had downloaded malware I believe, and I had a lot of platforms and accounts compromised such as paypal, instagram, spotify, linkedin, and student accounts. I keep finding more everyday although I have done a few things to protect myself.
I downloaded Malwarebytes and removed every compromised file on my computer, this took a while as they were active so unremovable, I have ran this a few times since and today something new came up which I have deleted but I am confused as to how it was on my computer.
I also changed my passwords on nearly every platform and installed NordPass as a manager rather than saving them to my google account. I have had some trouble with this as I am currently on the free version, I may start paying for the pro but I wanted to know the best option.
I really want to make sure all my stuff is safe and that I haven't missed anything else that could be compromised. I consider myself like moderately good with technology but I can't really figure this out. If anyone could let me know what I should be doing I would really appreciate it! ty :)
