Hello all, I had a marpe and Invisalign a year and a half ago to correct my anterior open bite (no gummy smile). Well the marpe was placed crooked by my orthodontist and my upper jaw expanded crooked and I got a crooked gummy smile which I noticed right after the expansion. He then strung me along for most of my treatment telling me could fix it but ultimately couldn’t and said I’d need jaw surgery at the end. He did try fixing the lower side with tads but it didn’t work I’m not sure if he didn’t know what he was doing just like with the marpe but it didn’t intrude the teeth. I now know I have a maxillary can’t and the right side was dragged down by the expander. I went to a few orthodontists after who said they could fix it with tads but I’m skeptical. How would that work, one side of my upper jaw is lower than the other now, that’s why I have a cant not because the teeth extruded lower while growing or something. So one side of my upper jaw sits lower and because of that the teeth do.
