When I was a child, I used to have lots of lucid dreams (now, I amost don't have them anymore). One time, I had a nightmare of being chased by a monster through the mountains. There was a ravin to one side of the path on which I was running. I knew for certain that I was just dreaming and I was rubbing my eyes in order to wake up, but it didn't work. At one point I figured that if I died in my dream, I would automatically wake up as there would be nothing left to dream about. So I did just that. I threw myself off the path into the ravin fully realizing that it was just a dream and not real. I fell for a long time through the air and when I finally hit the ground, I woke up from my dream.
