Discard pile manipulation is one of my favorite mechanics in tcgs, and it's fun to see Lorcana start to embrace it. Obviously it doesn't have the most support yet, but there are a few elements that are starting to give me hope.
Anna (Little Sister) Anna (Soothing Sister), and Kristoff (Icy Explorer) all have a cute bit of synergy, and if we maximize Kristoff's ability we have something resembling a draw engine. I'm thinking cards like Lilo, HeiHei, Taran, and of course Cauldron to continually dig from my discard pile and give me fresh card draw in the process.
But what do we do beside just play with our own discard pile? This is the question that vexes me, and I think the answer simply is "Quest." Amber and Amethyst have a lot of high-lore questing characters, and even if they're in the discard pile, Anna (Soothing Sister) can benefit from that.
Mad Hatter is there for turn 1. He's there to secure a card into my discard pile on turn 2 that I can make use of Anna (Little Sister) and her Shift. Keeping my own discard pile fed is also part of the challenge here but it's not too bad.
This is not Tier 1, but I do think there is some potential here. We have some limited banishment but obviously it's not ideal...
STRAY THOUGHTS:
- Hades on turn 5? I don't have any currently but I'm tempted...
- Is Raging Storm silly for a deck like this?
- I Won't Give In > Rewrite History???
Lemme know if you have any thoughts! Thanks!
