Looking at some of the “high end” racks. 3x3 has become the gold standard for so many brands. However, wouldn’t these be the standard for a collegiate gym. Those programs are often doing CrossFit like workouts where weight is slammed around recklessly. They also have multiple daily lifters racking 4-500 lb plus weight. These racks probably see more use and abuse in a year than 90% of garage gym racks in their lifetime. However, guys who are doing 300 lb barbell movements think they need this level of a rack?!
Feels like the brands are promoting this narrative the influencers the same way that you might have an influencer convincing you to buy a V8 f-350 to commute to work. Most people would probably get by with an f-150 and some might just need a ford fiesta. A lot of these brands are in an arms race and constantly marketing and exploiting consumers. How long before we have the “Rogue Valyrian Steel Rack”.

I currently own a MF b17 and was looking at the AH 64 bench or the freak athlete bench to upgrade my current setup. Curious if anyone had experience with either good or bad. My current bench is fine but I loathe the setup it takes for leg developer/ preacher pad.
