Expensive item missing from bag…

I was double checking a bag that processed yesterday and realized a designer dress I sent is no where to be found. Ive messaged them but Im really upset at this point. What do I need to do? I have a picture of the dress and know which bag it was in. I truly think someone pinched it when processing the bag (I was wondering why the bag was taking so long). I know, sell at your own risk, but this is not ethical….

(Yes it was premium label…)

MCPS is cutting compacted math and cohorted ELA for elementary school

I never post here but this is important enough that it must be shared widely.

Yesterday at the school board meeting, MCPS announced its plans to do away with compacted math and instead do “clustered grouping” within a single classroom for math “acceleration.” They claim they are doing this because of state requirements which, if you listen to the meeting, you’ll hear board member Montoya point out is a load of hot garbage.

MCPS is also doing away with any cohorting for advanced learners for ELA.

The only way to stop this is to let the Board and MCPS know what you think of this proposal, loudly and in force.

MCPS claims this is backed by the National Association of Gifted Children. This claim absurd when you read what NAGC actually says. The research is clear, advanced learners need homogenous grouping to support their academic achievement (https://www.nagc.org/grouping). Teachers cannot be expected to attend to the needs of advanced learners at the same time as on-grade and remedial learners. Teachers are still evaluated based on proficiency rates; their priority cannot be advanced learners in this set up.

Please email the board and MCPS today!

EDIT: There is a Change petition going around for folks interested. I think its a little misdirected (the Board actually can't do much here unless they pass a new resolution to require separate accelerated classes) but its one way to add your voice: Petition · Support of Dedicated Cohorted Math Acceleration and Equitable Access to Advanced Math - United States · Change.org

Just got the notification my premium bag was processed. I sent in a bikini and clipped the pieces together. They took the top and are apparently sending me the bottoms back. LOL okay... not sure what to do with that!

They rejected a few other things I thought they would take (a couple pairs of J.Crew jeans for example). I'm sending another bag in soon... can I just readd this stuff? They don't give any reason why they rejected...

I posted yesterday about whether folks wash their threadup buys immediately upon purchase and several mentioned freezing the clothes to kill bugs. I’m curious — has anyone seen bugs in their purchases or had an outbreak/issue because of bugs from purchases? Bed bugs especially concern me…

What have been people’s experiences?

Especially dry clean only clothes. I'm curious what everyone does. Just got an order and luckily only one thing absolutely stunk of the ThredUp smell (I nearly puked). That went straight into the washer and all the other machine washable stuff will as well. I got a few things that are dry clean only and will send them out but got a blazer that looks and smells clean that I would like to wear soon. What am I risking if I wear it before I send it to be cleaned, lol?

EDIT: Also curious if you try on stuff before you wash it too...
