I’m sure this gets posted all the time, but I had used my google nest for a while and when I tried to use it again, it now won’t connect to wifi.
The device had been fully removed from my google home app so I re-added it. It connects just fine to my phone and the noise played through the speaker. But it just won’t connect to the wifi. My phone is updated, the app is updated, my wifi is working on all other devices, I restarted the nest, my password is correct, and the device is sitting about 2 feet from my router and modem. I’ve turned wifi on and off on my phone and I’ve reset the router. I was going to try to connect to my hotspot as suggested by the Advanced Troubleshooting but my hotspot doesn’t even come up as an option.
The nest is pretty old, probably about 6 years at this point. Do they just start to retire old devices or something?
