Right now I've got 3 small sites (one static, one basic WP install, one just a landing page) spread across cheap shared host + separate registrar. Total traffic is low, maybe a few thousand visits/month combined, nothing crazy

The issue isn't uptime, it's the small stuff adding up. Backups aren't included SSL was “free” but only after digging through settings, and the dashboard feels like it’s built to upsell more than manage anything. Also noticed TTFB creeping up on the WP site during random hours.

At this point I’m less worried about saving $2/month and more about not dealing with this kind of friction repeatedly.

What are you all using that stays predictable after the first few months?
