The Master of Elation
One thing I keep noticing during the story are the characters refering to Aha as 'Master of Elation.
While I didn't think much of it at first, my perspective changed after Himeko wondering if someone is behind the Moon telling us that the winner gets to be the new aeon.
Take the words literally, 'Master of Elation'. Someone is controlling the Elation. Dictating their moves and motives. I think it is Asat Pramad.
First of all, I don't think Aha would randomly give away their aeonhood to a random person who wins the game. I think Aha would rather let the worm become an aeon than a person who wins the game for fun.
Secondly, Fulwish received a mask after her traumatic experience. Sparxie explained that the elation and the masks are about experiencing adversities and enjoying overcoming it at the end. Fullwish received the mask at a low point, as mockery. She did not 'overcome' anything. I don't think Asat would be able to grant masks. However, by controlling the elation he does.
But, why won't Asat just destroy the elation by using the elation? He is a Lord ravager after all?
Also, I did not understand what the concept of wishpower explains to us? What is the meaning of it? Why did the developers include this in the story?
I do know that the concept of 'Paths' keep appearing during the story.
I believe that Asat won't be able to destroy elation. Elation is everywhere. You can't kill elation because everyone BELIEVES in the elation. The aeon is not an entity, it's a concept. The only way to 'kill' elation is to 'fear' elation and deny it's existence.
You might think 'then why is the aeon of destruction still an aeon if people fear them'. They get their believe, their power, from their vast amount of followers (the legion) eventhough they created the legion themselves.
Asat wants to show the world how 'cruel' the elation is. That elation is not happiness or sadness, but pure madness. He is using the elation to destroy the elation. Fulwish portrated a mini-Asat. Someone who madly uses the elation the 'punish' the elation and those who believe in it. She failed due to the wishpower people put in the trailblazer and their friends.
I think the ending will turn out the same. Asat uses the elation to either free up the Voracity (and punish Ahatopia) or use the elation another way to show people how cruel this path it. And the moment people don't show any attention to the clown behind the glass, the clown will just be an ordinary person with some make-up. That is the death of elation.
